Our Mission

Wise Technical Marketing, Inc. was established in April, 1996, to provide specialized technical sales and marketing services to manufacturers of raw materials for the surface coatings and allied industries in the Midwest.  Over the last several years the company has diversified into the direct importation of prime pigments from all parts of the world, and the development and manufacture of a wide variety of formulated products, including specialized pigment dispersions, vehicle systems and additives for many industries.

Claude T. Wise

The company’s founder, Claude T. Wise, has many years experience in all facets of the coatings industry.  He began his career as a chemist at The Sherwin-Williams Company, where he worked on general industrial, appliance, coil and powder coatings.  At the Universal Color Dispersions division of Bee Chemical Company, now part of Plasticolors, he progressed from Technical Service Specialist to General Sales Manager.  Immediately prior to founding Wise Technical Marketing, Inc., Mr. Wise was President and Chief Executive Officer of Deeks & Company, a regional chemical distributor headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky.  Mr. Wise earned an AB degree in chemistry from Wabash College and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

David Wise

David Wise, manager of the company’s Louisville office, joined Wise Technical Marketing in 1999 after a successful career in the financial services industry.  He holds a BA degree in finance from Transylvania University.  He was named Vice President of Sales and Marketing in 2002, and is General Manager of the company’s pigment and formulated products divisions.

Sue Anderson

Sue Anderson, whose career spans over 30 years in product development, sales, business management, and strategic planning in paint and coatings, adhesives, liquid printing inks industries, has responsibilities for accounts in Minnesota, North and South S Dakota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois. Sue began her career developing pressure sensitive tape for a division of 3M Company, where she learned the value of having innovative suppliers eager to contribute to new product development efforts. When the opportunity arose to join the ranks of one of those suppliers, she joined Morton International as a Midwest sales representative for binders used in floor coatings, adhesives, and water based printing inks. Taking that experience several steps further, she moved into senior sales management, and then to business management for NeoResins in a variety of markets, including Graphic Arts, Adhesives, and Architectural Coatings. For many years Sue has been a key member of a renowned management consulting firm specializing in strategic analysis in the Coatings and Adhesives industries. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and Mathematics from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN.

Art Davis

In 2009 Art Davis, former Director of Decorative Research and Development for ICI Paints North America, now part of AkzoNobel, joined the company with responsibility for key accounts in Kentucky and Ohio.  He holds BS and MS degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Newark College of Engineering.

George Sajner

In 2014 George Sajner, Former Technical Director for Pioneer Athletics, joined the company with responsibility for key accounts in Northern Ohio. He holds a BS degree in Chemistry from Cleveland State University.
